installation of a photovoltaic system in Lugano
PKB is pleased to announce the start of an important project aimed at making our organization increasingly sustainable. In line with our commitment to the environment, we have begun work on the installation of a photovoltaic system at our Balestra 1 office in Lugano.
This new facility will allow us to generate clean energy, thereby contributing to a significant reduction in energy costs and carbon emissions. The plant will occupy an area of 187 m² and will have the capacity to develop more than 42 MWh of energy per year.
Estimates indicate that this initiative will be able to cover more than 7 percent of the building’s total consumption and more than 10 percent if nighttime consumption, during which solar energy is not usable, is excluded. This will result in an annual reduction of about 6.45 tons of CO2, equivalent to the emission of 250-300 gasoline cars.
This project is an important step for our organization, a small but significant contribution toward a more sustainable future.
