Giovanni Vergani is an independent Director of the Board of Directors of PKB since 2017. He is also a member of the bank’s Audit & Risk Committee. Born in 1961, Giovanni is of dual Swiss and Italian nationality, married and father of two children.
Giovanni is also a member of the Board of Directors of Cassa Lombarda (Milan) since 2017. Since 2014 Giovanni has been working as an independent consultant to the private banking sector.
He also serves as a BoD member in various banking, financial organizations and foundations in Switzerland and he lectures Private Wealth Management at the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano.
Previously, he worked for 18 years in the financial sector, of which 10 years spent as Managing Director at Credit Suisse, where he held a responsibility for the European and South-American private banking markets.
Giovanni is a graduate of the Zurich Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich), where he obtained a PhD in rural economics in 1990.
