The Private Banking division of PKB is active in Lugano, Geneva and Zurich.
Basic to the private banking activity, either in the form of investment advisory services or as discretionary portfolio management, is an in-depth knowledge of the clients, of their requirements and of their private and professional financial objectives.
Each private banker at PKB dedicates the utmost attention in defining the initial relationship, carrying out a detailed analysis of each client’s assets, return expectations, risk profile, investment horizon and, if necessary, fiscal and estate planning aspects.
After having considered all these elements with their private banker, clients can opt either for discretionary management of their assets by the bank or for managing directly their portfolios, relying on the support of their investment advisor.
It is only at this point that the investment policy and management guidelines can be defined along with other aspects of the banking relationship.
Clients receive information on the performance of their investments on a regular basis or as often as required. A periodic review of investment policies allows the portfolio structure to be adapted to any new personal objective.
Investment advisory
Investment advisory services allow clients to directly manage their assets, while always being able to compare their opinions with those of an expert, to assess with him investment performances as well as to consider new market opportunities.
Asset management
In the course of a few years, financial markets have radically evolved, creating theretofore unknown opportunities and possibilities. An ever increasing numbers of investors have thus turned to asset management services, finding them to be the solution to their requirements.
By granting a discretionary investment mandate to PKB, clients entrust the management of their portfolio to PKB’s team of asset managers, whose sole objective is to maximize returns while respecting the agreed limitations on their activities.
Clients draw considerable benefits from this kind of service, in which the bank takes on full management responsibility:
- they free themselves from the time-consuming and increasingly complex task of managing their investments by entrusting them to a team of experts;
- they have continuous access to the full gamut of banking competencies of PKB, a leading bank in the sector;
- they optimize the performance of their portfolios thanks to a global perspective, to constant market presence, to rapid response made possible by technological innovation, and by benefiting from market opportunities to which they would not otherwise have access.
An investment mandate granted to PKB entitles the client to continuous assistance, detailed performance updates and regular meetings during which expectations and results can be compared or objectives adapted to new requirements.
Fund-based asset management
As an alternative to traditional asset management, clients can opt for portfolio management using investment funds and sicav.
With this type of investment mandate, clients gain access to over 400 funds, diversified by asset classes, sector and geographic areas, as well as to Sicav and highly innovative funds of Hedge funds. The selection of these funds is carried out by our bank after a thorough international comparative analysis.
For each fund, PKB is able to constantly monitor performance and volatility, to analyze market exposure, asset composition and efficiency indices as well as to track performance against various benchmarks. The in-depth knowledge of available products allows PKB to identify, in each category, the best funds to be used for composing portfolios.
Tax and estate planning advisory services
Financial solutions are often linked to fiscal and/or inheritance considerations. PKB provides, in this field, advice to both private and corporate customers.
Careful estate planning allows long-term protection and transmission to further generations of assets within the framework of legal requirements of the country of domicile or of origin.
PKB also gives access to its clients to a network of leading international law firms with which it has longstanding working relationships.
